As the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Wa West Constituency prepares to elect a new Constituency Chairman in the coming weeks, we are reminded that elections within a political party are not battles among enemies but a democratic process among brothers and sisters pursuing a common vision.
Whether you belong to Team Alhaji Major (Agenda 4:4:3) or Team ALHAJI IBRAHIM (WWC 11/11), remember that after the votes have been counted, there will be only one political family: the New Patriotic Party.
Campaigns will end, but our relationships, friendships, and our collective responsibility to the party must continue.
The Holy Bible reminds us in Psalm 133:1:
“Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell together in unity!”
Likewise, Proverbs 15:1 teaches:
“A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.”
The Holy Qur’an equally emphasizes unity.
Surah Aal-Imran (3:103) says:
“And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided.”
Again, Surah Al-Hujurat (49:10) declares:
“The believers are but brothers, so make peace between your brothers.”
These divine teachings remind us that peace, respect, forgiveness, and unity are greater victories than any election.
African wisdom also speaks powerfully about togetherness:
“When Spider Webs unite, they can tie up a Lion.”
“One broomstick breaks easily, but a bundle of broomsticks is difficult to break.”
“If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together.”
These timeless proverbs teach that unity is the strongest weapon any community or political party can possess.
Therefore, let every supporter campaign with dignity, avoid insults, reject misinformation, and refuse violence. Let ideas replace hatred, and let respect overcome division. Victory achieved at the cost of disunity is no victory at all.😎
To Team Alhaji Major and Team Alhaji Ibrahim, your greatest legacy will not merely be winning an election but preserving the unity and strength of the NPP family in Wa West.
When the election is over, the successful candidate should warmly embrace his opponent, while the unsuccessful candidate should graciously accept the verdict of the delegates. Both leaders should stand shoulder to shoulder and assure their supporters that there is no room for bitterness because the real contest lies ahead in winning the confidence of the people of Wa West.
Finally, I humbly appeal to all Team Leaders, Party Elders, Polling Station Executives, Electoral Area Coordinators, Youth Organizers, Women Organizers, Patrons, and every Party Faithful to immediately bring all supporters together after the elections.
Let us heal every misunderstanding, strengthen every friendship, and rebuild our collective determination to secure victory for the New Patriotic Party in the next Presidential and Parliamentary Elections.
Such unity will be a fitting expression of gratitude to the NPP, the party whose leadership established the Wa West District, Wa West Constituency thereby bringing governance and development closer to the people.
May peace prevail over division. May unity triumph over rivalry. May wisdom guide every delegate.
And may God Almighty and Allah bless the New Patriotic Party, bless the Wa West Constituency, and bless the Republic of Ghana.
United we stand. Divided we fall.
Together, we shall win.
Long Live Wa West Constituency (Long Live!!)
Long Live the New Patriotic Party (Long Live!!)
Long Live Mother Ghana (Long Live!!)
