Hon. Alban Kingsford Bagbin, the Speaker of Parliament, has made a remarkable contribution to public health in the Upper West Region. He donated essential medical equipment and medication specifically targeted at treating and preventing meningitis.
This generous donation is part of the region’s comprehensive initiative to combat meningitis cases and enhance the healthcare response.
The medical supplies, including vital drugs and diagnostic tools, aim to strengthen the capacity of the Upper West Regional Health Directorate. This will enable them to effectively manage and treat meningitis cases, ultimately safeguarding the health and well-being of the community.

Anti-biotics Ceftriaxone to combat bacterial infections
Spinal needles For diagnostic and treatment purposes
IV fluids To provide essential hydration and electrolytes
Dexamethasone, A corticosteroid to reduce inflammation
