Kuoro Braimah Issah Balu III, a 75-year-old retired court registrar, has been enskinned as the new Sissala chief in Wa, Upper West Region.

The colorful coronation ceremony took place on February 15, 2025, and was attended by prominent chiefs, including the Paramount Chief of Gwollu, Kuoru Bajor Limann V, and representatives from the Wa Naa.

The Paramount Chief of Gwollu urged Kuoro Braimah Issah Balu III to lead with humility and wisdom while advising the Sissala Community to use chieftaincy as a tool for peace, unity, and development. The new chief expressed his gratitude and called for unity among the Sissala people and other ethnic groups in the region.

Notably, the Sissala people are known for their agricultural expertise, friendly nature, and strong cultural heritage

As the new chief, Kuoro Braimah Issah Balu III is expected to champion peace, unity, and development within the Sissala Community.
