
2024 Upper West Representative for Ghana Most Beautiful, Hatie Nwadei officially lunched her empowerment initiative
The 2024 Upper West Representative for Ghana Most Beautiful, Hatie Nwadei has officially lunched her empowerment initiative in the Upper West Region of Ghana.
The development initiative according to her is aimed at creating lasting impact in communities and the country at large.
Hatie Nwadei speaking at the lunching ceremony in Wa explained that, with the right support from individuals in the country and the world, the challenges facing young boys and girls in rural can be changed.
“Growing up in rural area, I saw the challenges that many boys and girls face and I remember dreaming big, but often feeling limited by lack of resources and support. Thankfully, I had individuals around me who believed in the power of education and community. They showed me that challenges can be help us grow, and with the right support, we can overcome obstacles”.
She also added that, her experiences in rural communities have sparked her passion to empower young girls whose potentials is often overlooked through mentorship; adding that, she wants to create an environment where young people can thrive, discover their talents and celebrate their culture.
The Upper West GMB representative revealed that, her initiative is aimed at addressing rural development through five key area and it include; girl child empowerment, mentorship and youth development, culture promotion, talent development and agribusiness promotion. “Hatie Empowers Initiative is aimed to address rural development through five key area and they include; girl child empowerment, mentorship and youth development, culture promotion, talent development and agribusiness promotion”.
She also noted that, she will be using her exposer to relook at culture promotion and talent development as part of her activities. According to her, they are working on a document in a video form to promote the rich cultural heritage and as well to promote local traditions, languages, arts and practices to ensure that the richness of our culture is transferred to future generations.
She hinted that, the initiative will actively develop and sharpen the talents of young people since they have their own unique abilities which are often unexplored. “we want to nurture more talents to contribute to making our arts, culture and tourism industry a viable space to reap more development and monetary value in our Region”.
Hatie mentioned that, they are to ensure that every young person has the chance to shine through talent development but most importantly promotion the cultural stands which is the ultimate chance of fostering unity and pride.
She also called people not forget on their origin and as while as see the positive aspect of culture as the soul of development; adding that nurturing culture will help create a strong foundation for growth and development.
In attendance at the event was some heads of departments, the father of Hatie, the Manager of Necessary Aid Alliance, some friends of Hatie and some media practitioners.
