The Sorry State of Sumborun Basic School
Since Basic schools in Ghana resumed from holidays almost two weeks, the vulnerable pupils of Sumborun Community Basic School have been scavenging for thatch grasses to roof an uncompleted classroom structure that grinded to a halt with reasons unknown to many.
These harrowing efforts of the pupils is to enable them to have access to education just as their colleagues across the nation.
Unfortunately, pupils below the age of 7 years have since been participating in this exercise just as to put shed over those classrooms to save them from the vagaries of the weather.
A strong wind could easily collapse these improvised sheds thereby, bringing down heavy logs on to the pupils learning under them. Your guess is as good as mine here.
Interestingly, this is a constituency where young guys mastered the game of ” free-for-all insults of people all in the name of politics”.
