Newly Ordained Catholic Bishop of Wa Diocese hands over an ultramodern school to Sorbelle community

Residents of Sorbelle, a farming community under the Sisaala west district of the upper west, region have been rejoicing since Wednesday ,21st August, 202,4upon the blessing and handing over of Cross Catholic outreach community transformation projects to the community by the Catholic Bishop of  the Wa Dioceses, Most Rev. Francis Bomsnsaan M. African.

The project which consisted of a three-unit kg block,6-unit primary school block, two number four-unit teachers’ quarters the multipurpose building is said to be timely and would be transformative to the people who until now had no school structure in the community

 The projects are said to be the first Catholic educational institutions in the Gandawi traditional area making it a milestone in the onward development of the community.

 our Lord Bishop. Francis Bomsnsaan M. Afr, the newly ordained Catholic of Wa, after blessing the facilities, urged the community put the facility into progress for it to last long. ‘if the community appreciates the projects by taking care of and protecting the structures there in more can be added to it, but if the community refuses to take responsibility and care the projects will not meet the desirable transformative agenda.

He added that education is one route through which people can come out of from poverty and disease to wealth and health.

 Representative of Sorbelle community chief Barung Basin Inusah, in his remarks showed the community’s appreciation for the facility, noting that the projects will not only be beneficial to residents of Sorbelle alone, but also many of the underserved areas around them. He assured the Bishop and his team of their continues collaboration and their pledge to take good care of the facility for this and future generations.
