Drought will affect our farming outcomes – Zogli Farmers

Farmers of Zogli in the Guo electoral area have told radio progress news, that due to the poor rain fall pattern this year, they will only be counting their loses as many crops have withered in the face of drought.

Speaking to radio progress news in an exclusive interview they said that, most of them have reduced Their acreages while many others have not been able to plough their farm lands.

Mr. Eugene Sibaa and Isaac Angfaayen said despite all these, it will be prudent to plant some maize and beans in order to pick some little grains home.

Eugene hinted that farmers will have to manage with animal droppings to grow their crops as the government’s subsidized fertilizers are not yet in.

He said this year’s season is not a promising one for many of them because the time farmers were ready to sow their seeds the needed rain did not come.
