Right to information activists and a teacher in the work municipality Mr. Sidik watara has stated that, it is important for residents of the region, especially those living in and around border communities to be conscious about their security in the face of violence extremism political vigilantism as we head towards the general elections in 2024.
His comments come following a citizens security forum against election violence vigilantism and violent extremism in Wechiua, which was organized by the Institute of democratic Governance.
He said that, it is unfortunate that, many of us are not conscious of our environment and the people who walk in and out of our communities. He said people watch strange persons or strange happenings go through in their communities without questions.
According to him, it is important for each and every one to be able to say something if you see anything strange in your community. He called on residents not to allow themselves to be used by anybody to foment any kind of troubles before and during the 2024 elections
