
Lack of good roads, classrooms, potable water, electricity among other social amenities in Dabaariteng, a farming community under the Poyentanga electoral area in Wa West District are making life difficult for the residents.
The residents made this known to Progress news over the weekend,
Mr Domah Kobier Edward narrated that, the community came to together to construct the KG 1 AND GK2 block by collective contributions and build the facility up to roofing level and then solicit for support from the Wa West District Assembly, which was granted, enabling them to complete the facility. He further added that school children have to walk at about 2 kilo meters from Daribaateng to other communities to have access to education, as a results child below the ages of 10 to 11 find it difficult to walk that distance to have education, they are appealing to the Government through Wa west district education services to post teachers to the school to make education accessible to all children.
While, Mr. Bato Kojo, who is an elderly man in the community has explained that, the condition of their road brought a lot of difficulties to them as a reason they thought, it wise to organized community to work on the portion of the road which is not good. He further added that each house hole in the community is task to pay 100gh and a bag of cement to able them work on the road.
Meanwhile Madam Kaa-welledomah Grace has described the water situation to be a very challenging one for them in the community as a result she appeals to non-governmental organization, philanthropist and government to come to their aid in providing additional borehole to reduces the pressure on the existing one.
