
Residents of Kanyini, a farming community under the Nadowli-Kaloe district of the upper west region revealed that, the deplorable nature of the roads linking other communities and their community in the district is negatively affecting quality healthcare delivery and other economic activities in the area.
The residents made this known to Radio Progress News over the weekend
Thaddeus a unity committee member of the community narrated their ordeals to radio progress and stated that, anytime their nurse refers a sick person to either kaleo or Nadowli for further treatment suffer a lot because they don’t have a means for transport due to the poor road network.
He therefore appeals to government and philanthropies to support them with for transport to aid in quality health delivery at Kanyini health center.
Mr. Dakurah Wilson also indicated, that it is always difficult for them to get transport their farms produce from the farms to the nearest markets and other communities due to the bad state of their roads thereby causing them post-harvest and financial lost
Another resident by name Mr. Yakubu Aziz further elaborated that because of the bad nature of their roads some teachers posted to the community to teach refuse to accept posting to the community of the nature of their roads
