The New Patriotic Party’s 2024 running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has vouched for the integrity of the party’s flagbearer, Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia.
Speaking at the party’s 2024 manifesto launch in Takoradi in the Western Region on Sunday, Dr. Opoku Prempeh, also known as NAPO, described Dr. Bawumia as a corruption-free leader who will build on the achievements of the Akufo-Addo government.
He assured Ghanaians that Dr. Bawumia’s commitment to transparency and accountability will be a hallmark of his administration.
Dr. Opoku Prempeh called on Ghanaians to trust that their interests will be protected and their resources utilized judiciously.
“I am a strong believer in Dr. Bawumia. I have worked with him more than many people know. I believe in his ability and knowledge, and surely, he is the man of the moment. I am committed to serving him loyally to ensure his vision is translated into action. His vision is for a better, more prosperous Ghana. And I pledge to work even harder to support this vision.
“Dr. Bawumia is a man of vision. He is humble but firm, affable, loyal, honest, a problem solver, a very hard worker, a go-getter, and a man of integrity. He is destined to take Ghana to the next level. I know Dr. Alhaji Bawumia is not corrupt. His family life has never been accused of corruption, and his public life has never been tainted by corruption. He has never been investigated, and he will never be corrupted. You [Akufo-Addo] are handing over to an honorable man to continue the work.”
