Tricycle drivers in Wa municipality express frustration over low earnings

Some tricycle drivers in the municipality have express their frustrations as they continue to get low earnings in their business rounds.

Speaking to radio progress news, some of the drivers said, they no longer make money due to the recent increase in fuel prices.

According to them they have been battling with their customers in respect of charges, they hinted that, places where they used to go with 10 Ghana cedis of fuel, they now have to use over 20 Ghana cedis to cover the same distance.

The tricycle drivers said that customers who used to come with load no longer come because of the economic hardships in the system. Most of them would rather squeeze their luggage in their motorbikes and their vehicles rather than use tricycle to carry them.

As they continue to make low earnings, they are calling on the government to try and reduce fuel prices in other for them to make some earnings.
