
Residents of Dotanga, a farming community in the Dorimon electoral area in the Wa west district bemoaned the inadequate sources of clean water which cause chaos between men and women in the community.
Speaking progress news over the weekends in the community, Madam Ayishatu Gounah explained that, there are two boreholes but its only one that is in operation and there is pressure on it because of the large number of people using it, they are therefore appealing to individuals, NGOs and government to come to their aid by providing them with additional boreholes.
Another resident by name Madam Meeri Issah also added that, they waste a lot of time at the borehole in their chasse for water which they could use to assist their husband in the farm as a result , has been this causing conflict between them.
Mr Saandau Tuughani a man in the community further described the water situation as an unbearable challenge their women go through before they could get water to perform their domestic activities.
