The Minister of Food and Agriculture, Bryan Acheampong, has reiterated claims that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will use every means to win this year’s general elections.
Speaking at a campaign rally in Nsawam, Mr Acheampong emphasised that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) would not win the elections.
The Abetifi MP indicated that the NPP has all capable hands-on board who would use whatever means necessary to ensure the party’s victory in the December polls.
“I have said that if NDC likes it not they will not win the 2024 elections. They would not win. You can check their records. They would not win. The NPP would win the elections.”
“We would do whatever it takes to win the elections. We are a political party that has pastors, imams, and traditionalists so whatever means we would take to win the elections, we would do so. ‘Burn the sea if you don’t understand,’” he noted.
However, NDC replied Bryan Acheampong and said “You’ll see fire and return power just as you left SSNIT hotels’
A Deputy National Communications Officer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Malik Basintale, has issued a strong response to the New Patriotic Party’s Bryan Acheampong, over the comments he made against the party concerning the 2024 election.
In response to Mr Acheampong’s claims at the NDC’s Upper West Regional campaign launch, Mr. Basintale cautioned him and his party not to attempt to hold onto power if former President John Mahama wins.
“We just observed when he [Bryan Acheampong] attempted to take over the hotels, and we intervened. And now he dares to say he will not hand over power to former President Mahama? I have a message for him; on December 9th, if the people vote for John Mahama and your MPs, if he is truly a man, let him refuse to hand over power, and he will see what happens. When iron meets iron, you will see fire.”
