
An agricultural extension agent Mr. Ali Salman has stated that, farm access roads have improved in the Wa West district following the European Union and the government of Ghana’s commissioning of 670 km of feeder roads in the upper West region which was constructed at 35 million to improve access to farmers, healthcare providers and facilities in the local communities.
In an exclusive interview, he said, farmers in many of the communities in the district can now commute to and from their farms as well as health facilities that are dotted around the district
He added that the district assembly through local government can also augment the support giving by the European Union to the construction of some other critical farm access roads in the district. He said that, the Dorimo- Dabo roads that used to be a challenge to many commuters are now motorable .so farmer should not have complaints, rather invest in farming and be able to transport their produce easily.
