Over 40 students from the Lassia Tuolu SHS news club embarked on an exciting educational journey as they paid a visit to Radio Progress on Saturday, July 6, 2024. During their visit, the students had the chance to produce and present their own news segment, focusing on recent fire outbreaks in the various schools across the upper west region, including the tragic incident at Lassia Tuolu SHS that destroyed the Multipurpose Hall on 10th March, 2024.
Additionally, they discussed the issue of teenage pregnancy, emphasizing the importance of parental care, thereby blamed the canker on broken homes, poverty, and peer influence in addressing this societal challenge. They have however called their colleagues to stay away from any form social vices including hard drugs and their abuses
Mr. Abraham Azaakadere, the patron of the news club and some students, expressed gratitude to the management of Radio Progress for providing the students with a platform to showcase their talents. He highlighted the invaluable experience gained by the students and hoped for more opportunities for them to visit the station in the future.
