Residents of Blem Muarazu call for inclusion to LEAP program

Widows and vulnerable persons at the Blem Muarazu, a farming community in the Dabo Electoral area community in the Wa West District have appealed to the Wa West District Assembly to enroll them onto the Livelihood Empowerment against Poverty (LEAP) programme.

They said for several years now, no vulnerable person in the community had benefitted from the program.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with radio progress news Madam Stella Titus Chere Ma said that, the Blem Muarazu community has a lot of people who cannot do anything for themselves, whiles many other women in the community are widowed.

She said that it is a pity that some communities near them are benefiting from the livelihood and Parliament against poverty program but for them anytime they come around they tell them they will come and write their names they go away and they never come back.
