The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Wa West District Assembly, Hon. Diorotey Vida, has Tuesday 2nd July 2024, commissioned and handed over a fully furnished 5-bedroom teachers’ bungalow to the West District Director of Education, Mr. Tug-Uu Amatus, who in turn passed it on to the teachers of Jenbob Roman Catholic Basic School under the GA North circuit. This initiative aims to enhance quality teaching and learning in the region.
The newly constructed teachers’ bungalow consists of five bedrooms, a kitchen, five water polytans, and a WC. Each bedroom is equipped with a bed, wardrobe, center table, and other necessary facilities. This project is part of the Gulf of Guinea Northern Region’s Social Cohesion (SOCO) project, which was awarded to Novma Construction Company Limited in March of this year.
During the handover ceremony, the DCE commended the contractor for the excellent work done and encouraged the teachers to maintain the facility well to ensure its longevity for future use.
She has however, appealed the GES director to post more teachers to the school
When receiving the keys to the bungalow on behalf of the teachers, the Wa West District Director of Education, Mr. Tug-Uu Amatus, expressed gratitude to the district assembly for providing such a fitting facility for the school. He also cautioned teachers against choosing to reside outside the school community.
