
The National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) in Upper West Region has cautioned road users in the Region to always wait patiently when accessing roads.
According to the NRSA, it is mandatory for road users to stay patiently on road to prevent unwanted accidents.
Mr. Alhassan Majeed, a Road Safety Educator speaking on Radio Progress super morning expressed worries on how some road users often jump down from their vehicle to aggressively confront each other’s due to wrongful usage of roads in the Region.
He said, it is prohibited for a road user to rush whilst accessing to the road; adding that, one should always make sure the road is free and motorable before rushing, to prevent road crushes.
He also noted that, knocking a moving vehicle at the rear is against road safety regulations and therefore road users should always use the road prudently to prevent going against the laws.
Mr. Alhassan Majeed explained that, in order to prevent unwanted accidents on the road, users must drive or ride using the safety spacing method, this he said help prevent road users from knock a moving vehicle from the back even if provided the vehicle intend to stop by force due to some reasons.
He also lamented bitterly on how the term “Tigabonyeng” makes residents in the Region silent when there is damage for one who is against the law to repair; and also call on residents to stay focus when riding, walking and driving on road.
The NRSA Safety Educator also advised road users to desist from the intake of substances when using the road. He disclosed that, it becomes hard for majority of people to control their anger after taking in substance and hence there is need for such people to stop using the road after taking in substances.
Mr. Alhassan Majeed giving out some causes of anger in human beings revealed that, some people get annoyed as a result of hardship, stress, poverty and many more reason which are of individual interest.
